Okanagan Orientation Tours

The Okanagan Valley is a beautiful place to stay, a real 4-season playground. Not only as a tourist, but also as a resident.

If you decide to live here and you are new to the area, then it’s wise to do your research. You should get familiar with things like: Where do you want to live? Who do you want to meet? Or, what can you do for activities in this beautiful part of the world?

Of course, you can go online and make some calls yourself, or you could leave it to me. I moved to the Okanagan in 2011, when I immigrated from the Netherlands. And I had to do my own research. Since then, I have always been involved in the hospitality industry, building my network and helping others connect.

I’m an experienced tour guide, both provincially and locally. I operate my own Airbnb (http://www.airbnb.ca/h/rosedale-getaway), and I help my guests discover the Okanagan Valley. I speak English, Dutch, German, and a little bit of French.

The idea to create Okanagan Orientation Tours and guide potential new residents around the area came to fruition when my friend Rom Houtstra, a realtor at Century 21 (https://romrealty.com/ ), asked me to show his clients around Kelowna. He wanted to focus on selling houses, but still offer his clients an extra service.

Remember, Okanagan Orientation Tours focuses on the relocation part of your move: exploring different areas to live and work; and connecting you with the right people and organizations who can help answer your questions on a personal and business level. And there is always time to add a fun element, like touring our local wineries or playing a round of golf.
